Gameplay and Graphics
I know, I know. Every year we hear the same thing about how the gameplay is going to be crisper and that the player models will be more true to life. FC24 promises to be the most true-to-football experience ever with HyperMotionV, PlayStyles optimized by Opta, and a revolutionized Frostbite™ Engine reinventing how 19,000+ authentic players move, play and look in every match.
Playstyles
Ok. I gotta be honest, this is the type of thing we are all interested in, right? Remember how OP the "Lengthy" attribute was at various stages of FIFA 23?
Here is how EA defines PlayStyles in FC 24:
"PlayStyles dimensionalize athletes, going beyond overall ratings to bring to life the on-pitch abilities that make players special. PlayStyles comes from real-world player data from Opta and other sources, giving players unique capabilities that make their way of playing look and feel more authentic. PlayStyles+ enhance those signature abilities to world-class standard—think Haaland’s Power Shot—reflecting elite players’ abilities to play at a level that few others can reach.
These are broken up into two tiers:
PlayStyles are the signature abilities that make players more unique and help them stand out on the pitch.
PlayStyles+ are those signature abilities only world-class players have, essentially elevating a given PlayStyle from special to spectacular."
Ok EA, you've got my attention. It looks like there will be 34 different PlayStyles in several categories. We'll make sure to cover those in the coming weeks.
Evolutions
For the very first time, you're given the unprecedented opportunity to elevate the skills of your club's players through Ultimate Team™ Evolutions—a revolutionary approach to shaping your squad around the players who hold a special place in your heart. The addition of Women's Footballers
For the first time ever, all players will compete on the same pitch in Ultimate Team.
EA summarizes it by saying both men and women will be integrated into pretty much everything.
Packs - Both men’s and women’s footballers will be available together in the pool of players for packs.
Transfer Market - All tradeable players will be searchable on the Transfer Market based on their league, club, nationality, position, price, etc.
Objectives - Men’s and women’s footballers will both be eligible as Objectives requirements and Objectives rewards.
Rewards - Men’s and women’s footballers will both be included in Rewards throughout the year.
Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) - You will be able to submit all players into SBCs as long as they meet the requirements (nationality, position, leagues, clubs, etc.). The introduction of more players will essentially mean more possibilities when it comes to completing an SBC.
Draft - Any player currently available in the pool of players has the potential to be added to your team in Draft.
