Well, here we go lads! The very first Weekend League of the year is upon us. Here's what you need to know.
Qualifying
Qualifying for EA FC 24 Ultimate Team Champions League involves a two-step process. First and foremost, you must attain a minimum of 1250 Champions Qualification Points to secure your spot in the Champions Play-Offs. These valuable points can be earned by emerging victorious in matches throughout the week in the seemingly now hyper competitive realm of Division Rivals. The higher the Division you can attain, the more points you can accumulate. For example, in Division 7 ( where I currently play ) you will earn 50 points per win.
However, the journey to Champions is just beginning with the Play-Offs qualification. During the Play-Offs stage, you face the formidable challenge of securing at least four victories out of the ten available Play-Offs matches. Successfully achieving this milestone grants you the coveted opportunity to participate in the weekend tournament, where the competition reaches its pinnacle.
How I fared
Ok, you've finally managed to grind your way to 1250 points, now is where you really need to buckle down. Remember, you need to win 4 games out of 10, which sounds super easy, but we all know that it isn't.
I waited until last night to try and qualify in hopes that most of the die hards would have already attempted. Well, to no surprise, my evening was definitely of the white knuckle variety. I lost my first 4 matches before finally winning one. So now I needed to win 3 of the next 5 matches. I proceeded to lose my next match pretty handily to a team using Icon Loans. Why did it never occur to me to put these in my squad?
Just recently we were able to acquire some of them via the Nike Mad Ready Objectives and Swoosh Objectives. I know some people balk at the idea of using Loan items in WL and in qualifiers, but, shoot, why not now? This is the time of year it will give you such a distinct advantage. After inserting Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, VVD and Mad Ready Putellas into the squad, I proceeded to win 3 of my next 4 games very easily. WOW!
Tips for the Play-Offs
My tips for a successful Playoff Qualification
Use as many Loan cards as you can. ( Save at least 1 game on them to use in Friendly Objectives later on )
If you lose 2 in a row, take a break! You'll just keep making the same mistakes you have been in your losses.
SLOW DOWN! Try to lay off the sprint button, try to be more purposeful in possession and with your passes.
Always wait until later in the week; Weds/Thurs. Most pros and good content creators will play earlier in the week.
Never play at/during the time when EA Drops content. The servers absolutely cannot handle the amount of traffic and your lag will be way worse than other times.

Alright, now that I've shared my tips and experience for this opening Weekend League, go get yourself qualified! Don't fret if you aren't able to on your first try. If you're in Division 7, you could go back and win 24 matches to re-qualify for the week and try to get through the Play-offs again! Just keep learning and getting better.
